July 22, 2025 (Feast of St. Mary Magdalene)

Today was the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, a prostitute and, at the beginning of her story, filled with demons. A tremendous sinner to begin with. And yet, today, the entire world (the Church) recognizes her as one of the greatest saints, worthy of a feast day. What incredible hope there is for those of us who are able to turn away from sin and give ourselves wholly to the Lord; eternally forgiving and unconditionally loving to all willing to receive His love. (Another great example is St. Augustine, of course.)
